What short shifter to buy?
Does it matter what brand name you get when it comes to short shifters? I know skunk2s are like 100 bucks and then there are some you can buy that are generic that are like 50 and some that are like 15. Does brand name really matter or not? Thanks for any advice and if anyone has a short shifter, let me know what type it is and if you like it or not. Does single or dual bend make a difference?

Re: (Eran)
Ok, I bought a Hurst used for like $5. Worked for about two years, then it snapped at the threads.
Went with Skunk2... Although it was ~115 it is WELL worth it. The shifts are so crisp, there is no side to side motion when in gear. It feels like you're shifting something expensive. Skunk2
edit: My first one was a single-bend and the Skunk2 is a dual-bend. The dual-bend just sits further back than a single. I find it to be a little nicer but its preference.

when i did my gsr swap, i had bought a short shifter, not even sure what brand it was now, been so many yrs ago, but i hated it, and eventually went back to the gsr shifter and loved it. sometimes those closer shifters cause more grinding in my humble opinion. i dig my stock one.

Here's my cue
Fastline Performance Road Race shifter
I bet all the girls laugh at your short little shifters. Mine is bigger than yours . . .

does it hit the exhaust at all because althogh the "throw" is the same as stock, the part under the pivot is WAY longer and may hit the exhaust...also what size exhaust are you running?
