Default what sensor is this? b18c1

its the black plastic thingy on the manifold that looks like a button(it breaks off really easy). on the pic, its the one below and a little bit to the left of the IAT sensor. it is being held by one phillips scew.

i kinda broke it while installing the motor. will my ecu look for this

I think you're refering to the tps (throttle position sensor) and if so YUP the ecu will definately be looking for that one.

no thats not the tps.......
i ran an obd1 motor with an obd2 intake manifold.
which did not include that sensor.
so i left it unplugged and i ran no codes.
if you were worried bout it you can swap one from a single cam motor.

I cant see what you are referring to but from your description I would assume that you are talking about the purge control solenoid. You need that hooked up. Dont know what it does but they break very easily. I took some super glue and glued the connector back onto the unit.

EDIT: OK I did Find it. Yup thats the purge control solenoid.

yeah totally why does your pressurized gas system need somewhere to vent excess gas fumes???

I guess in "stunnerville" they don't car about car fires.... I know it's not that big a risk but I would NOT eliminate this piece...

maybe it's standard practice in a swap (I don't know) but I would not remove that from my car... it's there for a reason... one of which being to redirect the flow of excess fuel/fuel fumes... not something I'd eliminate.
