what power to the wheels?
I have purchased a B16 from a 2000 civic Si with the current mods. What kind of
power and rev-range can I expect. I am typically a Nissan guy so the whole V-tech
\
thing is new to me not to mention I did not see a similar set-up in the dyno forum or
in my searchs.
thanks in advance!!!
short block is a B16A1 block with .25 Oversized CTR Pistons, Shot Peened stock rods,
stock crank (knife edged). Everything spin balanced and professionally assembled.
The following bolt-ons Etc.
Comptech Ice Box cold air intake
Hondata intake manifold gasket
ebay 4-1 stainless header w/ 2.5" collector
Skunk2 test pipe w/ 2.5" flange welded on to the front to match the header
straight pipe in place of rear axle back section
Supertrapp disc muffler on back to quiet it down a little
Moroso steel road race baffled oil pan (capacity is now 6 qts, and the spring-loaded
baffles keep the pickup submerged in oil
Quaiffe Limited Slip Differential
Integra Type R OE clutch
JUN lightweight (9 lb, IIRC) flywheel
Also what engine management should I run with? What compression ratio do I have? I wish to retain the stock A/C so I can't go full Stand alone unless I incorporate it. I was think Hondata, but don't know the costs associated with it and what I will need to buy due to it being obd-II.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Re: what power to the wheels? (Bexe)
all you have are almost bolt-ons,so around 150-160 range to the wheels at the crank maybe 180 or so.you really need a tune for all the things to work perfectly and make more hp

what engine management would you suggest I go with? I have been seriously thinking about hondata, especially due to the fact there is an excellent tuner in the local area that won't cost an arm and a leg.
If I were to do a skunk 2 intake, throttle body, injectors, fuel rail, Adj. FPR, and then a tune how much more power would I see between with and without the intake set-up? To do the mods is not hard I am just trying to weigh the juice to squeeze ratio.
Thanks!

I'm not going to try to guess how much power you'll put to the wheels, but I will try to clear up some confusion from your first post.
First (and I'm sure you'll hear this a lot unless you edit the first post), it's spelt "VTEC". You'll probably hear about V-Tech being a phone.
Anyway though. The 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si had the B16A2. The B16A1 is an older engine found in 1989-1992 Civics and it appears their horsepower (from the fly) was around 150-160. The B16A2 was 160. We never got the B16A1 in the US.
Id' try to help you with the rest but it's not really what I'm into so I've never bothered to teach myself about it. I hope this helps a little though.

The b16 was pulled from a 2000 civic Si The "SHORT BLOCK" is a b16a1 due to the a2's short block spinning a rod bearing. The a1's been rebuilt with .25 over CTR pistons, crank has been knife-edge etc.
The head is a stock A2 block. Sorry the V-tech this is left over from me being a Nissan guy and having spent many years misspelling it on purpose. But will have to mend my ways due to the ownership of a Vtec motor lol.
The engine management is currently stock obd-II , but I plan on getting a obd-II to obd-I harness, a pinned P28 and hondata to tune it; later on after no longer a DD i am going to turbo it.
