What OBD is my B16A SiR-II?
Hi there guys, I have an EM1 with a B16A SiR-II swap in it from a same-gen JDM Civic SiR. I need to order a new VTEC Solenoid gasket for my little leak and was wondering what OBD my B16A SiR-II is. Looking on Wikipedia, the specs say it's an OBD1, but on some this other thread here on Honda-Tech, the guy says that it's an OBD0 and that I should use the gaskets from a 90-91 NSX (Part #36172-PR3-005). Which is correct and which part do I buy?

Well, there are ways to tell if a motor is OBD0 vs. OBD1, aren't there? I mean, even the connectors are different, are they not? What ECU are you running? And ... what do you mean by "same-gen JDM Civic SiR"? If your EM1 is a 6th Gen Civic, wouldn't that mean OBD2a/b?

Yeah I know there are ways to tell them by the connector, but I don't exactly have the car with me right now and I won't be able to see it for a few days. And I'm not exactly sure what ECU I'm running at the moment, haven't checked that either. And yeah my EM1 is a 6th Gen Civic, which was supposed to come with the OBD2B on the B16A2, but that's been swapped out.

Nevermind, thanks a lot for the help guys. I just figured this out. Ended up asking the mechanic to check up on it and it is an OBD0. /closed
