Default what is the most GAS-EFFICIENT D-series motor?!?!?

I'm starting a new job where you drive around everywhere, so I'm trying to squeeze out as many miles as I can per tank with these gas prices!

mods would be:

- k&n air filter
- tornado air management system (lol I have 2 at least try it)!

thanx for everyones input in advance!

Whatever engine you already have in the hatch is what I'd keep. The cost of buying a new engine is going to take quite a while to recoup from the savings in fuel costs, and every D-series is quite fuel efficient already.

This might help you out a bit, but remember the specs are for new cars with new motors and the motor in the stock car it originally came in.

And don't buy into a gimmick like the Tornado.
