Tein s-tech springs with stock shocks = near stock ride but lowered for $150.
I dunno if your dubz will rub though. I get some minor rubbing at full lock or when I dive into a corner really fast with 205/50/15's
I've been on this setup for over 10,000 miles and I dunno how old my shocks were before I put the springs on. My car had about 135,000 miles on it at the time.

18" wheel gets really skinny tire...Thats your problem, you wont find any suspension out there to fix those noise and thumping sound from you car.
Get some smaller wheel size...problems will be all solve!!

I just put Neuspeed Sport springs on my 94 EX and I'm still using the stock shocks. I must say that I'm really happy with ride. It's near stock, but it's lowered enough that it looks good.

i just want it to ride nicer than it does and i figured if i need new struts i might as well buy a full coilover set up with struts. i mean my stock struts have like 120,000 miles on them

the question here is not which suspension to choose, but why on earth you put 18's on a little civic eg hatch

tein ss dampers are great if you have the $ you can adjust them 16 different ways. the 18s with a good suspension are always going to be rough you just have to avoid pot holes

I really don't know how much lower than stock you could go with 18s. Most suspensions lower your car at the optimum setting

Best advice ever i to have stock DD and will not have it any other way.
On the other hand my civic has got 550 front and 500 rears with OTS Konis and it probably rides better than your stock shocked civic. If i were you get some 3 way adjustable shocks(since money is no object) and set the high speed bound pretty low(i.e you hit speed bump the shokc travel fast) then set the other to pretty stiff. It should rub to bad and will make the car handle a lot better. also make sure you bushing are good and consider replacing every single one with Mugen or stock bushing.
After all that good advice. Get rid of the 18s cause the rubber band are nor helping you ride at all. Get some thing with at least a 50s sidewall. which will most likely be a 15 or 16.
