What kind of Exhaust should I get¿
I have a 92 civic si hatch with a D16 Z6 and it has the stock exhaust on it now and I want to put new exhaust on it. I am going to run 2.5" pipe from the manifold back. I want it to be loud but I want to have a muffler on it. What kind of exhaust system should I get?

If you dont run at least a high flow cat and resonator it's gonna sound like ****... Just another lawnmower going down the street.

Yea I dont want to sound like a weed eater.
If I went without a cat would it be louder or deeper or both or none?
Thanks for the help I am just getting into the import thing. I have delt with muscle cars before this and I know without a cat on them they are deeper and louder. But I am unsure about honda's.

Re: (Hump-Free)
without a cat youll have less restriction meaning less torque, and if you run straight pipe i think it sound worse. if i were you i would just get a high flow cat it sounds decent, has restriction and helps save the world!!

wtf?
anyways if you're running a d16, isn't 2.5 a bit overkill?
but if you want LOUD, i'd say go for a tanabe racing medallion.

I say look at different company sites, and judge by not only sound but by performance too. find out specs, qualitys, and so on, make your own judgement and decison based on what you looked at, don't look for others to look for you or tell you what to get, because you might not like what they do and you miss out on a great learing experience. and honda buzz will always be there, wether its in low rpm or high, its just the how the engines were made

Open pipes are the best!! F MUFFLERS!!
Make sure you get Titanium pipes too for that extra weight.
:sarcasm:
Or you can learn to use that search button for a topic that has been covered eleventy million times..
And dont be a jerkass, put your cat back on.
Pretty much any muffler for a honda is the same. Loud an annoying so you can't really go wrong.
