i say unless you have problems, keep it cheap.i use Autozone lifetime warranty units in my C1 at 12psi with an LSD.i'm definately making more HP than your setup, and they survive fine-even with a few runs on slicks every once in a while.

i've only had one catastrophic failure(broke outer joint),and that was after driving on it long after it needed to be changed.i usually just get the normal "clunk, clunk, clunk" while turning,so i swap them out for a new one.i get about a year out of a set(ranging from 5k-15k miles-this isn't my daily driver).
i've seen cars around here running the beefier aftermarket axles(don't know what brand).although they are obviously stronger to withstand the twisting force, the joints themselves seem to wear out just as quickly as any standard axles.the only problem is that you now have a really expensive axle that you've either got to buy a new one(more big $$),or if you're lucky, the manufacturer will replace it under warranty,or maybe rebuild it for a fee.either way, you'll have to wait on it.
if your car isn't actually breaking axles from overpowering them(which like i said,i doubt it will),i'd stick with the cheapo stock replacements.

well my goal is 400whp so i dont think stock axles will handle that , but for now i think around 300 is where im going to be at . so i might look into the autozone replacement axles

I was looking at these recently.. I might try them out. The price is very appealing.

use the autozone ones. i somehow managed to break a stock axle in half, then shortly after that i broke the autozone axle that i replaced the stock one with. lemme just say that it felt damn good to get that axle for free

i have to agree, you cannot beat autozones warranty..if u are not pushin serious horsepower and do go the strip alot, my not to bad of an idea jsut to hit up autozone, especially if you are on a tihgt budget.
