i know of threemotors that came in ek's...the jdm d15b, the b16a, and the b16b...if their are any others im sure people will chime in but it will also help to specify what kind of ek you are talking about, sir/vti/type-r/etc...

There was more than one JDM 6th generation (wrongfully but commonly referred to as "EK's")civic - some had different motors. Just like the JDM D15B isn't the only JDM motor for 5th generation ('92-'95) civics), you also got motors such as the D16ZC (Both SOHC and DOHC) - and I think one or two others.

The most common you'll hear is the CTR (civic type R) which is a B16B.

Yeah, they have a B18C, B18C (type R, JDM GSR vs JDM Type R, both have same engine code), B16A, B16B - so on and so forth.

As far as a D series motor is concerned, I'm not sure of any OBD-II JDM D-series motors. Though like I said, there was more than one, there was both ZC's in OBD-I as well.

i know the d15b was a motor in ek vti's because it was the 3 stage vtec motor...and i know that the civic came with the b18c but if i remember correctly was that also technically not an ek(i could be wrong)...i know the body style was completely different from other ek's...chassis was the same im sure though

I'm pretty sure there was no ITR nor GSR motors in civics during '96-'00 - although I could be wrong.

You might be thinking of the OTHER type R (civic type R) which was a B16B, not a B18C.

Yes there was a model civic that came with b18c(gsr). Not really a civic. Same body, different dash board and front end. Call something else.

Look at the chassis code thread linked in my sig. It tells LOTS of 6th gen JDM engines. Just read from the EJ chassis on.

Btw, USDM '96-'00 Civics are generally EJs, not EKs. In fact, there was never an EK chassis sold in the US by Honda. The only exceptions to the 6th gens all being EJs are the '99-'00 Si (EM1) and the '98-'00 GX (EN1).

who knows what all the engines where, there was b16a b16b probably 1.6 vtec, a 1.6 vtec economy maybe, maybe a couple 1.5's vtec and non vtec, probably a 1.6 non vtec,

keep in mind there is a alot wider varity of engines in japan, like 1.5 liter d series integra's, and down to d series lsd automatic trannies

Seriously, click the link:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1928390

That lists most of the JDM engines.

Why did you post a Google link to a Russian site filled with Russian Civics?

This link is totally off topic. It doesn't even say anything about motors besides that th Russian Civics have engines with such and such literage.
