Re: (Ricey McRicerton)
i notice on a lot of sites they they don't say which model civic the shifter is for. does the short shifter fit all models of civics? just wondering if a si would need a different type of shifter.

really, imo best would be custom made to your taste.
take off your stock shifter, chop it up, and reweld it in the length and angle you want, with as much throw as you want. simple as that.

Re: (Tad)
I went through like 4 different shifters, then went back to a stock ITR one.
I have never been happier.
The skunk2 one I had would come in second place probably.
Stock ITR/Integra Shifter ownZXorX

No, fools who think that a short shifter allows you to slam through the gears as fast as humanly possible mess up transmissions.

Ive had the b&m,but it wasnt the dual bend,it was completely straight.
That thing was rediculousely short, every gear was 2 inches apart from each other.
I eventually got sick of it,stock gsr oem goodness for me...

Actually they can **** up transmissions.. regardless of how fast you shift them. The whole point of a short shifter is a longer pivot point so you don't have to move the shifter as far and fast as usual... therefore, in everyday driving you're actually shifting very fast, and likely using the clutch slowly.. causing you to **** up your synchros.
So yes, it can **** them up. I've done it.. and seen it happen on many Integras and Civics. Stock DC2 ITR's are a big one. They can get notchy over time if you don't shift and use the clutch right.
I hate short throw shifters.. and I'll never change one out unless I have the proper clutch to use it with.
