what gear is this on my b16a y21

what gear is this on my b16a y21
i took apart my tranny today to replace my input shaft bearing
after openning up the casing i saw this gear all grinded up
which gear is it
i think its 2nd or reverse
the gear im talking about on the pic is the 2nd gear on the counter shaft

if im looking at the right one i believe that is the 1st gear synchro sleeve... the one that looks like an ate up ring gear on a flywheel is where im looking at btw

I"m thinking it's reverse, Since 1-5 gears are all helical cut i believe. Reverse would be your only straight cut gear, which is why it goes szzzzzzzzzzzz when you use it.

from what he stated the reverse is the only straight cut gear. which is true
while iw as replacing my bearing i was messing witjh the shifter. the shifter idle gear went right into. the guy who owned my motor in japan must be in a hurry always or some ****. those are some pretty nasty reverse grind.
also if you plan to open the tranny on a b tranny. practice couple of times putting on the case. becuase it took me 20min just to wiggle the casing in
