How the hell can engine swaps get played out? They have been doing them since the 40s-50s at least....Might as well say seatbelts have been played out.

Yes indeed...hatchbacks are becoming a fad, especially "JDM y0!" hatchbacks...As nice as it is to see a car that is nice and clean and done well, every damn hatchback looks the same. Just my opinion...

the beauty of living here in ricer land, I mean Wisconsin, is that theres limited JDMness here, and I have yet to see a car here in Madison with Slips, so nothing like that is played out here.

See I guess thats the beauty of living in Texas..... mostly muscle cars here. I'm amazed when I see a Honda here that isn't all riced out, and if it has any "JDM" or "JDM Knockoffs" I am that much more amazed. Sure I go to Houston and see people like Leo's old hatch at a car show or some clean *** Tegs, but seeing a civic around here with anything close to the- duckbill, amber corners, or slips is somewhat rare. Shoot, I think I only know of one or two guys around here with Slips, and one or two guys with Circuit 8's (and I'm one of them). I guess not living in Cali, things arent as abundant, cheap, or common here. It's funny hearing you guys criticize the JDM fad and its hardly even evident some places of Texas- damn ricers

And the thing about slips. They are gay. Not JDM, just GDM. JDM's played out, H-T's played out, emceeing is played out, and um... anything above ground is pretty much as well.

The whole JDM thing is getting out of control, but I would much rather have that than the Altezzas, hood blingers, fart can mufflers, and chrome rims. In Michigan, there is way too much of the latter and not much of the JDM thing, so JDM is good.

I think the whole "less-is-more" JDM look is just about played itself out. Now hold on before you string me up and gut me (you JDM purists know who you are). The 'look' has played itslef out from a show car point of view. You can only see SO many JDM look-a-like cars before you just start getting bored. However, there's nothing damn sexier than seeing a daily driven JDM sleeper. The muscle heads never see 'em coming. Played out? Maybe. Maybe not.

i think people worrying what other people think of there car is played out. it's your car.... if you bought it to make other people happy then you rbought it for the wrong reason
