what do u guys think?
to replace my stolen civic *which i loved very much*.. 
ive narrow d it down to 2 cars.. a 00 cilica ST S w/180HP out of the box..or a 00 eclipse GT V6 with 200HP..just dont want to risk losing another project..thought of the civic again..but its the 5th most stolen auto in the country..then a accord coupe *sighs* then i thought..the "1 most stolen car in the country..think im going in another direction..so ur imput is important

Personally, of those two cars, I'd go with the Celica over the Eclipse. I haven't liked the new gen eclipses and the v6 idea screams shitty gas millage. I see more potential in the Celica.

Personally i don't like teither of your choices.....i dont like the new gen celica or the eclipse i say u look for the 95 celica or the 97 eclipse....thatz just my opinion though.....don't think the two cars are worth what u would pay for them.

if i had to get another car right now and i wish i could. i would get a 240sx, the last get and spend $2500 for the s15 front end conversion. good luck finding a standard though. i wish i could get one. then stay w/ the ka24de and build the bottom to lower comp. and add a sweet t3/t04e turbo in it. i just went

my uncles got a 2001 celica and those things are quick. all he's got is a rod millen intake and trd exhaust...once that sucker hits 6300 rpm your pinned to your seat!!!

of your two choices i would get the Celica GT-S.. i just dont like Mitsu's.. I use to want one so bad in high school before i got my car.. and im glad i didnt because my friend has a 95 or maybe its 96 and it has some serious build quality issues... tranny went out, when the window is rolled down you hear the glass moving/vibrating inside the door, and the plastic panels rub togther and make noise (more than the teg)...
so ur not gonna consider a GSR or Prelude cuz of theft rates? if my car got jacked or crashed or totalled.. assuming i dont just say F*ck it and blow my savings on a new M3.. i would get either a prelude or another GSR...

the celica looks like a great car....i just keep hearing great things about them...and to top it off, toyota backs up their cars with aftermarket products from TRD...more than honda does for us...i see an overabundance of performance parts for the car, and honestly think youd have a good experince with a celica...

deepnite: lets not forget Toyota's reliability... my parents decided to punish me for getting in a car accident w/ my car while i was in college.. they took away my car and made me keep it at home (in So Cal) they had me drive a Camry (to Nor Cal) for a while.. i would beat the hell out of that Camry and it never broke down... they finally came to their senses and let me have my baby back....

Out of the two i would go with the celica, it is a great car out of the box, awesome breaks, good handling and good acceleration, the downside is that you can only do so many mods to that engine. my friend has got a 2000 gt-s and he says it is impossible to turbo that engine. it is more cramped then the rsx engine bay. But out of the two i would go with the celica.

My friend Drove that new celica and said it was no way near as fast as they made it out to be, but then he drives a '00 camaro SS. I think the new style eclispes look like granny cars. Get a Subaru WRX or stay with the celica.
