you have to go to trenton transfer the salvage title to your name and they give you a form. then you have to take a pics of the car before and after and save all the parts reciept. after you fixed the car you need a work order and all the reciept. then you have to pay $200 to get it inspected . after you pass the inspection you have to go back to trenton again to get your recontracted tittle and ready to register the car...

get the salvage title, if you know anyone in another state specifically new york "sell" it to them, it flips the slavage title over to a real one, then just take it back.

That sounds weird man, I think I'll call bull.

My civic was originally sold in NJ in 93 where it was involved in a collision a few years later. The insurance company totaled it, and it received a salvage title.

When the car was brought over to NY (by a previous owner) the Title did NOT become a "clear" title. It very clearly states "salvage rebuilt - NJ"

hehe go to carteret and look for my old ej1 in the auction. its still got a chipped p28, walbro 255, agx struts, just nothing else cause it was all stolen

in all honesty i would not put too much money into a salvage title, because in case something bad happens, like theft or bad accident, you wont get even close of what you put into it back. thats why i left my civic in jersey and didnt buy it back
