what to do to a d16 del sol...ideas?
i have a 94 del sol, about 93xxx miles on it, and i dont know what to do next. i have a cold air intake with aem bypass valve, nology wires with independent gounds, bosche iridium/platinum plugs, and a full exhaust (header all the way back w/ a test pipe). no i have no idea what to do next. ideas or thoughts?

Field V-tec Controller

what you have for suspension? before you start trying to put alot of power to the ground work on your handeling. use some sways from a 94-01 integra or even get bigger after market ones. not sure if your del sol has a sway on the front. but do something redicilous like doubble sway on hte rear single on the front. i have it done in my eg and i love the handeling. control before power. what fun is 200+hp with no traction or cornering ability. maybe get some bucket seats. a harness bar. some 4 points. maybe save up for a 5 lug conversion. best investment i ever made. the brakes that come with the 5 lug are way better than stock. obv. and my friend had an imported sir-s and i stop a lengh or 2 shorter than he does. then from there maybe some NSX brakes. 4 pistion all 4 corners 11.8 in the front and 11.5 in the rear. id do brakes and suspension before power. even a single cam can be some fun if you have the handeling to play arround with.

Deff boost, I'm in the process of getting all the parts for mine now, just installed my stage 3 clutch with a stage 4 flywheel.

Cam, Cam gear, valve job, IM, port match, some sort engine managment, coilovers, brakes, weight reduction of any kind, maybe a decent speaker or 4, wheels/tires, HID's, injectors, port&polish head, electric water pump, MSD6AL, water/methanol injection kit, JR blower, fuelpressure reg, upper and lower sway bars, ..... i was just rambling stuff as i watched The Office lol

I mean ive seen ppl do 15 PSI on a stock block. But thats REALLY PUSHING IT. It wont be reliable and it probably wont last long either, if it lasts at all.

ya srs and some forged rods. 17PSI on a stock D16 with fkn head studs? ur gonna blow that **** up. The rods wont hold and neither will the rod bolts. Depending on the D16 the pistons might live but thats about it.

ya on a completely bone stock single cam? On 17PSI? what kind of WHP does he have? because the rods only really hold until around 220WHP.

I have seen 14psi blow SOHC before. Anything more then 7 you will need to build up the engine stronger. Your friend is a fool and will be stranded on the side of the road after loosing a race to someone. lol
