what do COMPRESSION RATIO mean?
what do these ratios mean? its on c-speed, the COMPRESSION RATIO. can someone verify what compression ratios are.

take 10, 1 litre bottles. fill them with water. and then try to jam all of that water into 1 container.
10 into 1. or 10:1
thats a lot of pressure for that area. because its "compressed" and the more compressed the a/f mixture is. the more BOOm you get.

Compression ratio is the ratio of the volume inside the cylinder with the piston at bottom dead center over the volume at top dead center . CR=volume BDC/volume TDC. You then get a ratio of how much stuff is compressed inside the cylinder.

Thinking about this more, it's not shoving 10 units of anything into 1. It's taking 1 unit and compressing it 10.1x if the compression ratio is 10.1:1. Compression ratio is actualy a ratio that relates to the pressure.
