What could this be?
I have a 2000 Civic Si and it has the stock battery and pretty new NGK plugs, but sometimes when I try and start it, it will take longer then normal to start it like 2-3 seconds. It always starts but it sometimes will act hard to start and then finally starts.
What could this be? Do i need a new battery? What kind is good for a battery?

Re: (jonas)
I had the same problem..what I read some where just click the key foward to the on position, I think the position right before you turn it to start the car. Let it there for like 2-3 seconds then start the car...worked for me!

see if this happens when you have only a little bit of gas left. anywhere from 1/4 tank and under. i think every EK does this...if thats the case then it is nothing to worry about. and by turning your car to the "ON" position it turns the fuel pump on before you go to start the car. thus getting fuel to your motor instantly when giving it spark.

maybe because of why you said it...maybe it is his life...thats hardly a lot of posts...there are many people on here with well over 10,000 posts. maybe he just enjoys helping fellow honda-techers out.
