Default What car, age, cost...

Arright, I've been thinking about this for a while, but how much money did you guy put into your car as of now, and how old are you? Basicly, I'm in college and the more I set myself to getting something for my car, the more some chrisis with paying off college or family members suddenly getting pregnant will occur. Plus i'm in this stage where I don't want to ask my family for nothing. Plus just offa doing this college thing, if I here one more person say "Just hang in there and pay hella money and sink in hella debt off of college loans and it will all payoff in the end", i'm going to execute them on the spot. So basicly, If you have a car with money into it, you must have graduated from college, payed back your loans and be joyriding around you neighborhood at an age of about 50 years old (based off of the just wait saying). Guess i'm just asking, how the hell do you afford **** at a young age. This is kinda making me say #%$^# the car, i'm going back to the skateboard dammit.

25 Years of Age.

Bought for 10K.
Repaired 4000. (mistake I know)
Mods 400.

Total cost of a slow car that I will have to rebuild everything on anyway?
$20,400 total after loan is payed off.

If I could do it again. I would buy something that I don't have monthly payments on and build the #$%^&*.

Im 17 years old, almost 18.
I work 35hrs a week and go to school.
I paid $6,300 of my own money for my car.
I've spent $250 so far on my car. (I'm pretty much stock )
I'm in the process of saving for a swap which i hope will come early this next year. Just hang in there, save as much as you can and be a cheap-skate (sp?)!

Just turned 19 this september. I've been working since I was 16, bought my car (95 civic EX coupe) when I was 17. I pay 240/month car payment + 120/month insurance, and currently live with my parents.

I graduated HS this spring, and am taking a year off to work since I've been really lucky to find a job paying me 15.00/hr full time with no college education, and more room for raises still. I'm working, saving, and planning out exactly how I want to execute this school thing.

My car is still pretty important, but right now I'm kind of focusing on just getting it paid off completely so I don't have to worry about it when I decide to go to school.

I'll be 18 this week:

I bought my car for $3500 with high mileage and some body damage

Spent about $2ooo on dumb **** and fixing body damage

$3ooo on engine

All in all I've spent a little under 10k, and none of its on plastic and none of it was borrowed from my mommy.

If you want to save money for your car here is what you do,
1. eat roman noddels (you could get like 4 for a buck)
2. get rid of your girl friend (unless she likes cars)
3. work your *** off and get over time
4. look for parts in classifieds.
p.s. i hate noddels and have a girlfriend that hates me j/k
