What CAI for a GSR swap in EG?
I had my GSR swap for a while and when i first got it i put on a shitty no name short ram for a GSR, now i would like to take that out and put in a CAI instead. My question is, what CAI do i buy that will fit directly? I heard a 2000 SI AEM CAI would fit, is that true? Thanks

Is that a AEM CAI for a GSR? Did you have to do any extra cutting or anything to make it fit cause from the picture thats not where my hole is.

Yes its an AEM CAI for a GSR....it doesnt go through that hole on the side. It goes through that lil space in front of the resivor and subframe. No modifacation really needed.

I tried a AEM short ram for a 99-00 si and the mounting bracket would have to be cut in order for it to fit. The same goes for a AEM GSR intake. I ended up buying a generic 99-00 SI intake that did not have any brackets welded onto it and it fit perfectly.

If by good match you mean wont fit at all..then yes..you are correct
EDIT: To elaborate, look at how a ITR and a SI Intake manifold is shapend..then look at how the GSR manifold sweeps the exact oposite way (down instead of up) and then tell me that they will all fit

Wow how did this thread end up coming back to life? Well anyway i got a no name CAI for a GSR and it fits good, but the stupid filter fell off and i ran it over once.... but other then that no problems. And for the one that ask about wheres the filter, its right under the hole, like if you look thru it youll see it seating there.
