Went to Test and Tune... Pleased with results!!
So I ehaded on up to the Bristol Dragway this evening. Sprinkled a lil bit but it tapered off later. Got about 5 runs in with a best of 15.671 @86.26.
This beat my previous best time of 16.101. I backed this up with a 15.8, 15.9 and like two 16.0s.
This was on a 93 Cx with no spare or rear seats. I also removed the rear bumber cover. Mods are.. d16z6 with si tranny, cheapo short ram intake, dc 421 header, 2.5 catback. Other not so special mods are Dc SS and gsr wheels with 195/50 rubber aired down to 22psi.
Time slip
r/t 1.024 (lol worst light of night.. i usually hit consistand .6xx with one .590)
60ft - 2.313
330 - 6.398
1/8 - 9.967@67.99
1000 - 13.051
1/4 - 15.671@86.26
So how did I do.
BTW i picked up a T3 Turbo from a volvo today..just need some more parts and i will be sportin a junkyard turbo..
Jeremy
PS!!: Official elevation correction for my time is 15.371@87.97
BUT I understand that i did NOT run this time. Just for my information

pretty impressive. you're already faster than some stock dohc VTECs so when you get that turbo you'll be killing them
dont try and go gsr killing.
youll loose
good times.

go with a AEM or slatertake long tube intake. Expect a .2-.3 second drop on your times.
Bumperless 5 hb, 2-3 tenths faster.
Wonder who started that??????

Re: Went to Test and Tune... Pleased with results!! (JSutterEH2)
I'm pretty sure i can hit 15.9 or 16.0 with a little tuning and better driving.
current setup:
2000 D16Y7
AEM cai
kamikazi header
magnaflow race catback
91 octane fuel
195/60/14 azenis
no back seats or spare.
current best time:
16.4 @ 84mph
I would like to continue with the SOHC, but the gsr swap is quickly approaching completion.

yeah the 4500 launch gave me the best 60 ft time..but i still can try sone other launch rpms...
I am actually decidin against the turbo set up. It is gonna be too much work involved and i am lazy. There is a guy like 30 miles from me with a ZEX kit forsale. I think i am gonna ****** it up this weekend.
That means! tb03 turbo FS off of Volvo.. .52 AR..thats all i know! no shaft play at all, I can even throw in a STD manifold to make your DIY kit with!..
14's here i come
