Default weird rota question Iknow...iknow....

I figured id post this here to see if any one has see this before ???
i know noone likes rotas and they are not jdm and they are inferior to every other JDM wheel but.....my dad bought a set of rota circuit 8s bronze 15x6.5 38mm offset......my question is on the inside of the wheel mounting flange there is a stamp for the bolt pattern.....oh yeah these are on a 93 civic hatch 4x100...but on the inside its stamped for the dual pattern but both bolt patterns are the same..lol both fit i figured that 4x114.3 WOULD NOT FIT at all so i didnt worry about having it mixed up.. any one ever seen that??

to answer your question, the Rota Circuit 8 15" wheels only come in the 8x100(4x100) lug pattern. the 16" C8s are the ones w/ the dual 4x100 & 4x114.3 lug patterns.

Rota claims that the 15" is just for the "looks" w/ the 8 lug pattern holes. im guessing that that is what the OG MUGENs were like.

hope this helps

For the price, Rota wheels are a very good wheel. Now, I know they're not up to the quality of SSR, Volk, Advan, etc. However, for the price that we can get them for. They look good and have decent quality. I'll rock Rotas until I can get a set of RNR's.

Why do people hate on Rotas so much? Its just damn wheels. Are they defective or something?

Not at all. I believe a lot of the dislike comes from the fact that they are knock off of the popular/rare wheels that people like. They think it takes away from the glory of owning the authetic, rare wheels because so many people have the knockoffs. I think it's stupid personally. If you take a close look at Rotas there are small differences that make them different.

I'll buy Rotas until I get my RNRs.

i dont drive that hard that i need a set of 4 pound forged magnesium 2 spoke ultra light friggin $10,000 wheels. rotas are fine. I dont even care that they are copies of popular/ rare JDM/SCHMAYDM wheels. In fact if i could buy a 15x7" blank wheel that would fit a honda i would....but they look good , and are fairly light.
i like function over form over $$$$

i like rota's. back in the day i couldnt afford to have some new wheels like volks, so rota's look good and there great for the price.

Exactly. But if you look at everything nowadays, just about everything has a knockoff in some form or another.

Ya, a lot of people hate on Rota's but if you aren't tracking your car (so weight isn't a huge issue) and you like what they look like, then who cares what the haters say about it. Even if some of their designs (or maybe all ) are copies of other wheels, the bottom line is that some of them look pretty good.

I think they are great wheels for knock-offs. Instead of spending $19292 on some GAB wheels, im gonna be rockin my gt3s for $500
