Whenever I hit a bump, or anything that shakes the suspension, I hear a creak-type sound. I just replaced the struts about a year ago, and I don't have lowering springs. It sounds almost like some sort of joint is making that noise. Anyone have any ideas?

I delt with a car today at my shop. It had the same symptoms. It was the ball joints.

mine does that too...practically new springs and shocks (h&r and koni yellows)
I was just @ honda for service and they didnt tell me the ball joints were bad, so I dont think its them

Hmmm, i was having a similar problem over the winter. My passenger side rear was making a creaking sound over bumps.

I just jacked it up and sprayed some silicon lube on the rubber piece between the top of the spring and upper spring perch. Hasn't made a peep since...

When I installed my Illuminas (stock springs), the front suspension started creaking that way a couple of days later. The nuts at the top of the shock were too tight, so the bushings at the top of the shock were compressed too much. I loosened the nuts, let the car sit there for a couple of hours so the bushings could relax, and re-torqued the nuts to Tokico's spec (something like 10 ft-lbs). The creaking went away. It might take a couple of "sessions" depending on how deformed the bushings are.

Thanks for all of that advice.

You know how you have to separate the joint to remove the wishbone and then the axle? Well, when we finally got them separated, we had squeezed a lot of grease out, so that may also be my problem.
