Default waterpump woes - p72/p75/p30

hey I have a b16a3 usdm motor with a p30 waterpump in it. I need a 22tooth waterpump for my crvtec build. Does anyone know how many teeth are on my p30 waterpump?

the b20 pump is a p75. the p75 waterpump has 19 teeth on it. this works fine for the b20 because it only revs to 6500rpm - but when you vtec it and it's running at 8500rpm, it spins way too fast and just churns the water/coolant and makes bubbles. It would still work in theory, but it doesn't move enough water/coolant to circulate it fast enough and cool the motor.

the p72 (integra type r/gsr) waterpump has 22 teeth on it, which is better for high rpm vtec. you follow me?

i think the p30 (b16a3) waterpump would work too, but i don't know how many teeth are on the gear. I want 22 teeth on my waterpump gear so my cooling system works the way honda designed it. (sort of, they never designed the crvtec, but they designed pumps for vtec and pumps for nonvtec an I want the vtec one.)

how many teeth on the p30 waterpump? anyone?

well if you use a vtec pump there is not a timeing belt made for a b20 vtec that is why you have to use the b20 pump and yes the b16/gsr/b18c5 all use the same pump

good to know. i'll try using my stock b16 waterpump, and i'll count the teeth on the gear to make sure it's atleast 22.

the reason i ask is because the part numbers for the b16/gsr waterpumps are different. But one's an acura, and one's a honda. so the numbering systems might be different

thanks
