a couple days ago i was jus driving and i thought i heard water in my trunk or back seat, but i found out that there was water building up in my spare tire compartment. i drive an ek. its bone stock. does anyone know why there is water building up there?

Same thing happened to me, i guess at one time someone didnt put the tail light gasket back in, and the water was getting into the hatch area.

i saw some water droplets inside my taillight housing. so i guess thats where the water is entering from?

that could be it. if you cant find the leak, then just drill a hole in the bottom of your spare tire well and let the water drain like that

i don't really wanna drill a hole in my car. i've read about a problem like this somewhere. someone else had the same problem but i dunno if they fixed it or w/e

Taillights are leaking. Common problem in EKs, I had it too till I switched to EM1 tails.
