water in the motor

Default water in the motor

alright so my friend has a 00 si and he said he went in a puddle of water and got alot of water in his intake. some water was in the first cylinder, sucked out all the water changed the oil also changed the sparkplugs. now the car won't start it, it cranks over but doesn't start. does anyone know what the problem is?

Probably bent the rods. Try removing all the plugs, and cranking the motor. Then let the car sit overnight to dry out.

yeah i did this exact same thing to my '97 EX.

I just took the plugs out and water shot out from all 4 cylinders like 20 feet into the air, after that, changed the oil and plugs and the car cranked up fine. I let it run for like 30 minutes though just to dry out the rest of the water.
