Water injection on an N/A motor
would a water injection system benefit a N/A engine at all?... i understand the system and how it makes the air more dense decreaseing the amount of octane the engine needs under a load, but i was wondering if hp or tq numbers would change at all when an h2o injection system was used on an all motor car.

maybe in one scenario, ULTRA HIGH COMPRESSION where the combustion temps are TERRIBLY high and timing is dropped. the h2o injection might help lower the combustion temps and allow for more timing w/out detonation, but thats the only way i can see if helping a N/A build at all.
not worth it really.

thats odd, my buddy has a b16a2, somewhat built head and he has water methonal injection and it made some more horsepower and torque thru the powerband, but he timing its retared like 20 degrees

Re: (kiddcarbuff)
you really should be tuned for it, for it to help you out. your n/a intake temps aren't going to get high enough for you to really need it though. this is what i've been told from a couple of people that have installed it on their cars and played around with it.
