Default Wanting to do a B16 swap...where should I start?

I have a 97 DX Coupe that I am wanting to swap engines.
I am thinking about a B16 but I am not sure what to chose.

How tough is this mod, what should I expect as far as costs, what all do I need to swap out (engine, tranny, etc), and are there any pitfalls or things I should watch out for.

Also some good recommendations for places for engines would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

First, Welcome to hondatech
second. https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch
that is your best friend. use it. make sure you check the box that says search post BODIES not just topics
as for difficulity for the swap. its not that bad. i just did a b16 in my 94 civic and it turned out great (except for some minor problems that could have been prevented with proper planning.) places for motors http://www.hondamotorsonline.com http://www.jdmhondaparts.com
those are the best IMO http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b18cswap/swap.html those are instructions for a b18 swap but its pretty much the same thing.
price wise anywhere from 2300-2700 for the full swap. + shipping.
Good luck

Umm, if you search in the hybrid forum you'll come across plenty of info, but just to answer a few of your basic questions.

The B16 is a very versatile engine. It lacks torque. It is meant to be naturally aspirated with it's high compression, but does respond well to forced induction.

I guess it depends on what you plan to do in the future. If you are just wanting to get an engine and keep it stock or NA then I wouldn't put anything other than a B18 in a heavy coupe. If you plan to add a turbo down the line than the B16 would be a decent choice.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great engine stock, but the lack of torque really sucks.

B16 swaps run between 2300-2500 bucks plus shipping. Check your local salvage yards and see if you can find pick one up for cheaper.

It's a straight forward swap.

My adive: do lot's of research before you make a decision. Consider your future plans and devise your budget.
