Default want to try this but..

DIY BLACK HOUSING-
wanted to get more info on how to ..from what i've heard its kinda easi but if any one has tried it please help with info

wanted to use gunmetal spray paint in stead of black..
questions:
-the onli write up i saw said 160-180degrees C..wuts that converted in Fareinheit..
-how would re seal it..when i heat it up again will the glue that was on there before melt to hold it again or do i need a sealer?

160C = 320F
180C = 356F

Black housing for what? Headlights?

best way to re seal it is to scrap off the old silicone & put fresh clear silicone back on...

I did it a few months ago... baked 'em, painted with gray primer (looks badass, not too dark), left factory silicone on and just put more on around the outside after I was done... been raining all the time here in Cincy and haven't had a single leak yet.

I've heard that this works a lot of the time, but it would never be a bad idea to put a new layer of sealant on just to be safe.

true, but i made sure my layer on the outside was covering EVERYTHING, 'cause my old headlights leaked. I'm pleased with the results.
