VX Tilt wheel?
I liked the tilt in my dx now that my vx has none, how hard is it to install a ex/dx/si/lx tilt column in my vx if at all possible? Anyone else do this? Don't really need it adjustable just lower. Thanks in advance guys!

I'd like to know this also. I have some really low seats in my car so the wheel is up around my head almost. It's kind of annoying and I'd like to lower it.

Any 1992-1995 Civic or Integra tilt column will bolt in.
I used a 1998 Integra GS-R colun with tilt and leather-wrapped steering wheel. My Civic airbag fits right in and look O.E with the factory wrapped leather wheel.
It bolts in just like the one that comes out.
If you want some added security, get the VIN # from the donor car for the column and get a key cut for that car and KEEP the new ignition key switch.
One different key for the doors/hatch, and another key for the ignition.

You can also look at the number on the key and go to honda and have another one made. So if you left your keys around someone could get the #. But really if someone wants your car they will get it one way or another.
Thanks for the info on the tilt guys!!!! How hard is it to change the column? Your talking all the way down to the rack right?

Re: VX Tilt wheel? (hot_EF)
are you telling me that with a VIN from a car you can get an exact key cut for it? meaning that if someone was to look on my dash, write down the VIN...they could go get a key made and then come jack my car with the greatest of ease? i hope this isn't what i'm understanding.

It's SUPPOSED to not be easy to get an extra key cut with a VIN #. The dealer is supposed to ask you for your vehicle registration info, etc. but I've seen keys cut with this line before:
"My car is running and I just ran over here to get a key cut! Here's my (or the car they want to steal) VIN number.
******** at the parts counter should get all the correct info!

Re: VX Tilt wheel? (B18C5-EH2)
Hey everybody, I talked to my dad and he said pretty much exactly what B18C5-EH2 said: it bolts straight in. I just went to a wrecker and bought a 93 tilt wheel and it works perfect. All you need to do is cut out a piece of plastic on the lower surround of the steering wheel so you are able to access the adjustment lever. As for the ignition, i kept my original ignition but i can see the advantage of useing a new one.
Hope this helps

I dont want to start a new thread so I hope someone can answer this here.
Is there a big weight difference between tilt colums and non tilt? Anything > than 10lbs is a big difference to me. I would like tilt but im not sacrifacing ten pounds of weight reduction for it. I cant really think of why It would be that much heavier though.
