Vx sway bar install help
ok yes I have searched and read and researched and read. I got the front lower control arms and sway bar of of a I think a 96. I know it was a ek. I read that they were all interchangeable. It's up in there but the frame to bar brackets don't seem to be right. Is that correct? Do I need to get the eg brackets are they specific to the eg? Help. It's my DD and I don't want to snake the bar in and out 100 times. Thanks.

Your car is a 5th gen? I don't recall anything that says to swap 6th gen arms onto a 5th gen.
You're talking about these brackets?
Are you tightening as you go or are you keeping everything loose until all the bolts are threaded?

Re: Vx sway bar install help
Yes those are the brackets I am wondering about. The ek brackets had 2 bolts holding them to the frame my rear pivot has a threaded bolt attached to it. Everything is loose. No end links are attached yet. I can't seem to get it to bolt to the frame. Help.

Re: Vx sway bar install help
Help are my rear sections on reversed? I can't seem to find a good pic. The brackets won't bolt up even without any bushings or endlinks installed. Help. I can't seem to find an answer. I can't have the bar in wrong. Help.

Asking a question is asking for help. You don't need to keep asking for help....
Are you saying that the D-Bracket (#3 in the picture below) has a threaded stud or are you saying that the rear lower control arm mount (#8/9 in the picture below) has a threaded stud? The lower control arm mount should have a stud.

The sway bar bracket (I keep calling it a d-bracket) for a 5th gen and a 6th gen civic is the same.

You've probably got something turned around.

Also, grumblemarc got his reference picture from this installation instruction. Maybe it will help you:
