VX/SI gauge cluster swap?
The cluster from my 95 VX 3 door was stolen. I've found several used
clusters from SI models (which also have the tach). Would this be a
simple plug/play swap or are there issues or incompatibilities between
the two?
thx for any help you can offer

I believe mine is near 7200 rpm, but I am at work currently and could be mistaken.

Re: VX/SI gauge cluster swap? (Si.Hatch.92)
Did you read the posts above yours?
Any 1992-1995 civic guage clusters are "plug
and paly" If your stock cluster has a shift light,
and if you replace it with a higher model cluster
that was equiped with cruse controll, then the
cruise controll light will light up like your shift light
did.

Re: VX/SI gauge cluster swap?
thanks for the replies. one clarification: would clusters from the 2/4 door
civics be swappable into the hatchbacks?
Also is there a standard name for the "trim" that goes around the cluster?
My car was vandalized and I have to replace all of it, the air vent mouldings,
the part with the pushbutton 4-way flasher, etc.

Yeah but I'm not an expert, I didn't know if the poster was only
referring to hatchbacks or if this included sedans. So now I
assume it does, based on your reply.
Also one guy at a junkyard told me the cluster from an automatic
wouldn't work in a manual. Is this true? I don't know what would
be different.
That's why I'm here, because I need answers, and I appreciate the help.
