Engine temp reading OK?
Speedo and tach working normal?

Do any recent changes such as intake or exhaust?
What motor is this btw, list all your engine modifications.

Any recent modifications done to your motor? Have you tried reseting the ECU? Are you 100% sure that your CEL bulb isnt burnt out? (not common, but possible)

resetting the ecu, meaning unpluging it and leaving it unplugged for a minute or so?

Doesnt even need to be for a minute, a few moments will suffice believe it or not.

haha i'm sorry but i still dont understand what you're trying to ask.. because on a d16, you dont feel anything when it changes over to v-tec.. unless you boost your motor.

Good to know.
Answer this tho; Have you done any recent motor modifications? Intake, exhaust, tune-ups, ect?

Could be a number of things. I would start with a general tune-up of the motor with plugs, wires, rotor, cap, fuel filter, oil change (stock recomended is 5w-20 i believe). Maybe run some injector-cleaner thru the tank. Could just be carbon buildup in the motor making it feel sluggish.

Not entirly correct : In USDM single cam's you dont notice the crossover as much, but it is there. I had a friend with a bone stock 96 Ex, and you heard the crossover quite clearly. Sohc motors such as the JDM D15b's (both the OBD1 regular and OBD2 3-stage VTEC) have fairly loud and aggressive VTEC lobes.

he had an intake and yours only sounds like that because you refuse to run the right ecu.

take off the solenoid and clean it out...sometimes it gets clogged

allright, i did a midnight tune up, took off the solenoid, cleaned it, it didnt respond to any voltage input, im assuming the solenoid has just burned out. i reset my ecu, checked oil level, everything that was stated above
