i have a 2004 honda civic ex < si-g canadain > well anywayz my question is, i kno its a vtec engine cuase its says vtec on it lol... but how would i kno if its vtec 100%?
is it supposed to kick in a specific rpm? would i hear it? how and when..

yes its a 100% VTEC. haha what kind of question?!
i'm not sure when it activates on 04 civic EX's. it is SOHC VTEC, so you're not going to hear VTEC activate (same with other SOHC VTEC engines).

unless your friggin MIL comes on (check engine light), and when it comes on and throws a code for vtec malfunction, then your vtec is golden, duh!

i have a 94 civic ex n my vtech kicks in about 4.5 rpms .. hear it ? only if the radios down and the windows are up .. feel it yea ... from about 4.5 to 6-7 im moving way fast .... gotta be careful though a lil passed 7 is redline ... and im still running everything stock so i rarely let it get to 7 in 3rd n 4th unless i need to make moves
