vtec does not work on B16?

vtec does not work on B16?
I just finished my swap and my vtec does not work. I have a 93dx hatch with a second gen b16. I rechecked the wires and no vtec? What could be my problem.

you have to extend the wires for vtec... dx's dont come with the prewired vtec on the chasis....cx/vx,ex/si comes with it....
