Why the hell would you buy a VTEC controller for your HX? A.) it's not making any power stock and B.) moving the VTEC point would lose you power 100%.

Don't get it and save for a mini-me swap or turbokit.

Big difference. Go research it some time.

Well if the controller says that it doesn't work, then it would probably be safe to assume that it doesn't work.

i know the difference mechanically between them, i just dont know if activating vtec is different, thats what i was asking with that statement.

the satement about it not working was on ebay and i dont really trust them so thats why im asking you guys.

my question in getting a vtec controller is does it matter if its an hx or not ? or does it have to be regular vtec

Vtec on that Y5 activates too low for the vtec controller to even reach. The y5 ecu I believe has the vtec kick in at like 3k and most vtec controllers don't go that low and with out that ecu that engine is gonna run like ****. Maybe try using a tuning program chrome or turboedit and go hit the dyno or just find an open stretch of road and start messing around. Maybe load the y5 bin and just work off that.
