this is the vss that was on my car. i have a hydro LS tranny. this one went bad, and while i was searching for a new one, none of the pics match my vss. so i was wondering what VSS i have? thanks.

looks like an early ls or somone acctually swapped the gears from a ls on to a single cam sensor

How did you determine it was bad? Were there any issues besides the lack of the speedometer display?

I am trying to determine my own problem.

i honestly done know if its bad, but my speedo stopped working completely, so this is the first thing im trying.

By early LS, you don't mean 90-93 do you? Because they don't have a speed sensor. They are cable driven.

my 94 LS tranny had that VSS

I had a problem with my vss. It was off a b16 tranny from a 94 del sol.
It's electrical so most likely anyone off a b series and even a d series. They may look different but they're the same. As long as they're electrical the difference is the old style ones have like three tubes sticking out. ANyway, make sure u shop around prices vary....good luck.

make sure its not the plug making a bad conection.
Happened to me.
I ended spending a 170 bucks on a new sensor and it turned out to be a bad plug.

My speedo Stopped completely , But will randomly jump could this just mean that the plug is loose?
