Default VIS products good or bad?

I have heard good things about VIS carbon fiber hoods. But, what about their lips and spoilers. I was looking into the VIS carbon fiber spoon style front lip and duckbill wing for my eg hatchback. Does anyone have experience with these products. Any comments will help, thanks.

I've owned a hood before on an old civic.
The fitment was great.
But in the carbon fiber there were blemishes and wear, mind you I waxed it a lot and kept great care of it.
The carbonfiber weave looked like it was smearing, I don't recomend their products really.

i wonder how, if it would, wear and weave on smaller parts like the wing and lip. Because the hood is big compared to the lip and spoiler.

The VIS hood on my car is great. Fittment is excellent and i like how they wrap the carbon over the edges and about three inches under the hood, unlike the cheap e-bay hoods that look tlike the carbon on the surface of the hood was cut from a mold.

Well the hoods are basicly fiberglass with CarbonFiber Skin
i like the gloss of thier CF products nice fitment, rolled edges but thier
CF products have thick clear coat that the item becomes very brittle
and easy to crack
I might get a FiberImages hood nextime

Ur right the clear coat is very thick and is quite easy to crack. Most hoods in the VIS price range are just really Cosmetic carbon fiber hoods. Real stuctural CF hoods weight much less and are much much more expensive.

Anyone have experience with their spoon replica lips and spoilers. I am thinking about buying those, not the hood, so i would like some info on those two.

Just got my VIS hood for my GTI, most comments stated above are true. I think for the money, it was a good deal. $345 including cali tax

Fitment and Latch are great. No blemishes. Lighter than stock, so thats all i care about.

I've been selling VIS hoods for a few years now. and currently, i like they're hoods much better then most companys. And i can sell who's ever hoods i want, i'm am not binded by any contracts or anything. i've sold hoods from other companys and just had really bad experiences.

I've seen and owned a Fiber Images hood and I didnt like it, because of the cut edges and cheap lookin skeleton. although it weighed less then the VIS hood, it also looked cheaper.

all of they're cf lips that Iv'e installed, fit great. they fit really tight, so you actually need a few helping hands to install it and you should install it with the bumper off.

on they're cf duckbills , i've seen alot of variations in fitment. some fit well, some fit poorly. a few i've seen where you had to hog out the holes on the factory bracket to get it to fit. they also sit a little higher then the stock ones.
