VIS hood fitment on EJ8 coupe with B16A swap
This is self-explanitory. Does anyone know if there will be any problems on clearance with the new style VIS hood on my 98 civic coupe with a b16a swap. Has anyone done this before with the "new" style vis CF hood. Need your help on this one.

Stuff is crappy. Quite the contrary. The hoods look a lot better and are lighter. They just didn't design it with swaps in mind.
Their hoods, carbon lips, and duckbills are quality on par with Spoon carbon fiber pieces for half the cost. Don't know about their body kits....don't care much actually.

if im not mistaken its designed just like the aerogear hoods, you run into the problem of the skeleton underneath. you merely have to cut a 4"-6" inch section out to clear the valve cover. hope this helps

They make OEM hoods. So they make it fit cars with OEM motors. Meaning the motor meant for the car. If you want it to fit get an older style VIS. But I just got a newer one for my sol and jesus is it light Finish is awsome and fitment is almost stock.

I have heard they have some quality issues, large distributors of VIS like Keystone and Nopi will tell you. THey have service and shipping problems. The problems, as explained to me, are not in initial quality but holding up, fading, and then getting VIS to stand behind it.

Never heard of a problem with VIS's quality (and i used to work @ Nopi). They do sometimes bite it on customer service (not responding just missing shipping dates and gettting some parts on big orders wrong.

Re: (Apex i ITR)
i have never heard/seen any unusual wear or tear on a VIS hood... So what happens when we can no longer find the "Old style" VIS hoods other than used... you telling me VIS is going to just bite the loss and give up its hybrid customers... seems weak to me!!!!
besides the "Old style" were still OEM
