im havin issues with fitment on this new hood and dont want to lower my motor due to clearance issues with the 4-1....i was reading that a few of you replaced the hinge bolts for longer ones and threw in a few washers to raise the hood a little....what was the size on the new bolts and how many washers did the best spacing job? thanx

It would depend on how much clearance you needed. Just experiment. Bolts and washer aren't but a few cents

if you have a b series swap, then you have to cut the brace of the vis hood to get it close properly.

oooh i dunno bout cuttin......that seems sketch......actually it might work with a dremal....? ...$500 later

will hood pins help keep the fitment tight, or will that just cause stress were its hitting the valvecover? i was thinkin that maybe the hood would flex after time of sittin in the sun and fit better.....i want to do as little cutting as possible to get this thing to fit correctly....it looks tacky as fock right now

you hood will hit valve cover where the timing belt area, and the radiator braket... i had one til sold it to my friend.

good luck if you are cutting it . just take your time and remember to cover up your engine, cause you are going to make a mess... .

missed my hood and spoon duck bill... , but where i live thing are getting too hot so put thing back to stock look.

i feel u...i almost wanna paint my hood and duckbill....CF parts with slips is too much for me....im startin to get sick of lookin my own car
