vis cf hoods are nicer compared to others but heavier, i don't really think you can fix a cf hood if its cracked no matter what company makes it..

hmm depends on the damage. got pics? You could fix it but more than likely you may need to paint the sucker afterwards. If you dont want to do that sell the craked hood cheap and get yourself a new one. What kind of car is it for?

the VIS c/f hoods are heavier and are more for show, while fiberimages are not as nice looking but they weigh a lot less than the VIS, so the decision is yours.

I hear all kinds of things about these, some people complain about the fitment. Having never owned one, or any cf hood myself I have no idea. But from what I hear it is more for looks. Hope we helped you out

depend on what motor you got under the hood. cause if you got stock motor then vis hood will fit, but if you have swap under, then you have to cut some of the underhood brace to clear the motor. as for the fiberimage they will fit either stock or swap. imo vis is much better though. just remember it will attract more attention to thiefs. being there done that sold everything going back to stock look.

I ahve no idea how could peoples CF hood crack if its done with UV protection(correct me if im wrong tho)?
really, arent they suppose to be rigid enough or much strength then stock hood?
I know they would crack when the force is great enough cos my mountain bikes CF compontents cracked and FUBARed a couple times. reason why im asking, is that friends spoon hood didnt crack in a 80km/h collision (with an angle tho), and another made my SHIFT survive also in a 50km/h head on.
please inspire me with some info. thanks

My fiberimages never fit the 1st time nor it has ever! However, after owning it for about 3 years now, the clear coat is fading, thus making the hood shitty.
But with anymarket items, it won't last long. Now I'm in the process of finding another brand CF.
I wish Benen still makes CF hoods.

Should have had it cleared. When I first got my FI hood. It went straight to the body shop to have it cleared. Going on 2 years and still looks new.
I'm with you though on Benen. I was waiting and waiting for them to come up with the CF hood, lip and spoiler. After 6 months I gave it and went to FI for the parts.

isell cf hoods for 350 shipped. i also have a light weight hood thats a higher grade than a vis that is a one piece design and doesnt have the regular skeleton. its hard to explain but here isa pic, these are a couple lbs lighter than most cf hoods.
and the fitment and gloss are NICEEEE
this is the bottom of my regular hood, which is basically an unbdged vis, cause they conme from the same factory. its a rolled edge 1 piece design with oem skeleton and a steel latch (not installed in pic)
here is the front edge with the rolled carbon that goes back like 5 inches. keep in mind this hood is reaaaaaallllly dusty thats whyit has a grainy look. you can see the spot i wiped the dust off to show the carbon on the bottom
and this is the lightweight hood, that has the best fit of any cf hood on the market. i cant really explain but the edges are actually rolled and molded square and are SHARP. so they fit to the body line. if you cant understand ill take a pic of the edge. its the only cf hood if seen with edges like this.
