I just bought an OEM style VIS hood, fitment is 100% as good as stock, weave is excellent and smooth, highly glossy, the underside of the hood has a sturdy skeleton just like the stock one. Highly recommended

Everything is played out if it's done for looks.

Werd.

Do it because it makes you happy, not because anyone else approves.

Post a pic of the hood or PM me some pics when you get it, I'm kind of curious myself

I personally don't have a CF hood, but I've seen a few of my friends hoods and there pretty nice. The only two brands that I haven't seen make a bad hood where VIS and Fiber Images. Both of there hoods fit great on the cars that I've seen them on. Though the VIS hood has a stronger looking brace by use the oem design for support. Thats just my 2 cents, not that it matters.

anything for looks or doing to a motor is played out......the only way your going to stay original is if you put like a EXT front end on your civic....with the NSX motor in the back (not going to happen). CF hood is still going to look good no matter if there are 100 civics lined up next to you and they all had a cf hood. IMO ofcourse.

I had a VIS on my 00 hatch, now I have one on my 94 hatch. Perfect fit both times.

VIS hoods are heavy. More an aesthetic piece than a light weight racing part

well, i need a new hood, my stock one is all dented and nasty looking. plus i would like to have a lighter hood, i love the way they look.... and it will match the vis CF (spoon style) front lip, and CF duck bill. thanks for all of the replies.

do you think $450 shipped is a good deal? a guy i know gets stuff next day for no extra charge. as long as i order before 6pm, i have it next day at like 3pm. i dont think it is a bad deal.... thanks again

I have the Fiber Image hood and VIS before. Hands down the Fiber Image is better in quality. If you want light weight, you can always buy a FEEL's fiberglass, which is lighter. I have a extra FEEL's one for sell too.

Oh, talking about played out. HONDA's are played out period, but I don't see that stopping anyone. It's been played out since 94.

Consider this though, how many years has the WRX been out? It's already played out within 2 years. Funny huh?

VIS

Look at the fit on it! Just like factory!

Good quality and good price

And people, he asked about the quality of the hood not your opinion on if it's played and if it should be painted or not.
