Default Very strange problem with 92 civic

Ok, I go to start my car and as soon as soon as I turn the key I hear a click and now it won't start. Also, my alarm keeps going of and acting very wierd and it won't turn off when I press the button, it takes it like 30 seconds. It's an avital 2500 btw and has starter kill if that maters. I put the key in the igntion again and all of the dash lights will flash rapidly when I turn the key to engine on but it won't start. I just unplugged the battery for a minute then hooked it back up and same thing. Any other ideas/ This is very wierd.

The battery is dead? It stated perfect other times today. Should I try to jump it? I thought the alarm would kill the starter if I try to start it while it's on. As soon as the key goes in the alarm turns itself on somehow. Is is bad to jump a battery that's ok? It won't blow up will it?

Yes Jump it. The alarm will go off if the battery is reconnected after it was armed and lost power.

No, you won't hurt the battery at all with a jump. Basically your just hooking up to another cars system to help it get a charge.
