Default Vafc Killed My Car!!

I recently installed a vafc in my car. Now it is running EXTREMLY ritch! It wants to stall out under 3,000 rpms. If you give it some gas it will power through it. It only does it under 3k. Im also throwing a code 3 (MAP sensor) My car is a 97 civic dx (obd2a w/ d16y7)

Please help!

you need to tune your car. see your local honda specialist.
and no
vafc does not kill your car.

not knowing how to diagnosis your car kills your car.

Are you sure you did the initial set up correctly, according to the Apexi manual? Are the sensors set correctly on the VAFC?
Because you haven't hit the dyno, you should have all of the fuel settings at 0 for the time being.

I thought V-AFC's came with no adjustements stock. If you set it up and installed it correctly it should be just like it was, correct?

Unless he bought it used, or didn't do the initial set up correctly.

I did my research.

I was planning on putting in my rc 410's. Which are for the t3/t4 that is siting in my garage. But now this has put a little dent in my plans. I used the pin out for a y8 to hook it up. All the wires are the same except the vtec wires. i dont know what could be causing this. I even disconnected the unit and the car still behaves the same way. I tried setting everything at 0 and it did nothing

It sounds as if either the unit or one of your connections is bad.

It is obviously the vafc connections or the vafc itself as stated above.

He still didn't need the vtec controller. He could've just bought the air fuel controller.

I picked it up for 150$ and it does everything the air fuel controller does and more. Why not put it on? <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by menkio &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">hahaha.. v-afc on a stock y7.. rice at it's best......</TD></TR></TABLE>

It doesn't matter that it's not stock. Why not get a S-AFC instead of getting a controller made for VTEC setups aswell?

it doesnt matter if he gets a SAFC or VAFC they both do the same **** just the vafc has vtec option, they go for the same price, that ive seen, what if he later gets a vtec head/swap, i just see arguing, ******* noobs
