Default Vacuum/boost leak intake manifold question

Okay, So I have noticed that I have a vacuum/boost leak, and I absolutely cannot find it. Then the other day my friend had asked me if I had that brace that goes to the intake manifold from the block on, and he said that the bolt holes may go through into the intake plenum and causing me to lose vacuum/boost. Now my question is, do those bolts go through?

Also if you guys have any other suggestions, I've replaced the intake manifold gasket twice, and checked all my vacuum hoses with carb spray and all that jazz...

engine is d16z6 in 94 coupe

Thanks

Default Re: Vacuum/boost leak intake manifold question

the bolts for the brace on a stock gsr manifold don't go into the intake plenum. I would assume if sealant is not required on the bolts for your ex i/m brace, they won't go into the plenum either. You could always take a pipe cleaner and check the depth of the bolt holes.

The intake manifold gasket is a real bitch to get off, and I have not had luck with non-oem intake manifold gaskets. If you've cleaned the IACV and followed every vacuum line and checked that none of them have holes, I guess you have to take the intake manifold back off.
