US 93 Civic DX to EX/VTec
I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX and I was wondering the cheapest and easiest solution to turn the engine into a VTec? Also where I could get the parts to do it and a estimate of what it would cost? Any info for this newb would be much appreciated. Thanks Oh and another thing after I converted it could I buy parts offline For and EX/Vtec and them fit properly? And If I had to just buy a vtec engine whats the code (example B16A or w/e the Vtec is called) and what wiring and so forth would I need? Thanks I heard some ppl say something of going for a turbo instead of a mini me something does that pertain to what im asking? Because I was goin to put a turbo in anyway i just wanted the vtec because i can find more parts for it.

there really arent any cheaper or easier way to do it. Youre better off just swapping in the d16z6 swap it in, it has the better tranny.yeah you can put a vtec head on it .....look in the honda tech classifieds for the head. you're going to need a vtec distributor also. you also need the ecu vtec ....p28.... youre to need to run vtec pressure and vtec solenoid wires to the ecu since your doesnt have it. well good luck on your project.
