Default URGENT! Need yer help with 2 things!

I need to know wtf this thing is. They guy i bought the car from couple months ago did all the work on the car and now im finding somethings he sucks at. i was converting my full CAI to a "shortram" cuz its been raining a lot lately. this is just for a temp fix. I found this thing while i was messin with the CAI and cant figure out wtf it is. its all connected in the order u see the pics.

also, i need a good cheap temporary plug for the spolier holes on the trunk. i got rid of that nasty looking spoiler and want to plug the 4 holes so i dont get water in my trunk or rust. please lemme know asap as i need to go to work soon

Tape is a good temp solution for the holes in the trunk.

The wiring looks to match as the IAT (Air Intake Temperature Sensor). Red/yel green/black. I see your throttle is the top mount style. The sensor goes into the stock air box right above the throttle.

Intake Air Temp. take a wild guess where it goes. you can buy plugs for your spoiler holes, or just get creative if its just temporary.

That will work fine, it just needs to know what the air temp going into the engine is so the ecu will vary the fuel accordingly

thats what i thought. i had never seen it plugged into the CAI before i got it. so i think it may have fallen out when the guy did some gournd work to the car. think i will see better mpg now thats its in a better spot rather than just hanging?

go to your local hardware store ... they make these little "automotive plugs" , you could pick up a couple of those to plug your spoiler holes .
