Default Upper Timing Belt Cover Bolts

Hey everyone. I recently acquired a '94 EJ1 with a D16Z6. In the process of pulling the valve cover to repaint it, I noticed the upper timing belt cover was a little loose. The reason seemed to be there was no bolt in the front hole securing it to the head.

I picked a bolt from the local dealer to make sure it was the correct size, etc, but I can't see how it fits in there w/o taking apart a lot of stuff, like the power steering pulley bracket.

First, does anyone know the size of the bolt for this? My shop manual just says 6x1.0mm, torque to 7lb-ft. The bolt I have seems kind of large (much larger than a 10mm head).

Second, do I have to disassemble stuff to get it in there?

The timing belt covers use special bolts that don't actually tighten onto the plastic. They have little collars at the top end of the threads and the collars tighten against the metal of the motor. I don't know of anywhere you can get new ones locally other than a dealer. I'd find a pullapart place that has em or order them from hondaautomotiveparts.com. I don't know off hand what you'll need to remove in order to reach the hole other than whatever's in your way.

All upper and lower timing cover bolts are the same on a D15/D16... they are a special shoulder bolt and must be purchased from your local Honda parts department. The factory part number is 90007-679-000.
