Default Update*** Civic and Trucks don't mix.

Well on 12-12-03 my car was backed into. The estimate was 1348.00. These are the damage pics

Took some pics of the car when it was in the shop. Preped just had to be blocked then painted. These two pics were taken with my Samsung VGA 1000 phone

The car got painted the next day. I got my trunk lid painted too. Some dumbass keyed the **** out of it. So they filled it in with filler. It was actully dented in with the key

Now to let some people with Milano Red paint. If you get into a wreck, and the other person has Nationwide Ins. They DO NOT recognise Milano Red as Stage 3 paint. So you will get shafted on your check from them. I lost around 250.00 because of it. But I'm pleased with the work

From what my brother said there are Two color codes for that color. Its a Stage 3 paint. The clear actully has candy apple red pearl in it!. Mine matched great. Except
whoever had the car before me got the back bumper painted just RED. While it was on the car

So I'm going to the local salvage yard to find one and two fenders.

The dent was completly pulled out! There is hardly any filler in it. They use a Poly filler that flexes. It looks like toothpaste.

Bauley, red paint fads fast. You need to polish your whole car besides that fender, use meguairs polish #7 and let sit for 45 mins, buff, then wax... It will bring back the shine and luster that the orignal paint has/had...

LOL yeah I would give that wax a try but it wont ever fully solve the problem. If you want it 100% you have to do the whole car at once in the same color/finish

What the hell are you talking about?

I'm at work, I don't have a mequairs bottle next to me. Even if I did it helps give insight to his problem, something you gave ABSOLUTELY none of...

I'm not ignorant so I take the time to learn why the oils from polish needs to soak into ones paint (esp. a red color) in order to give best results.

Suck me off, damn, why even post...

Anyway, Bailey, trust me, give it a try...

It's either #7 or #27, either way I recommend both. One is wax, one is polish. Your paint contains oil which give shine and keep the paint looking clean and new, rather than oxidized or over exposed. Over time the oils are removed, yes, even the clear coat. Leaving the polish on the paint for 45 minutes will allow the oils to 'soak in'. After the 45 mins just buff, then wax to seal in the new oils. Many people recommend using dish washing soap to wash the car prior to polish, hence dish wash soap is designed to remove oils, so all the new oils are fresh. I haven't done this because dish wash soap contains other chemicals. If you really want to go all out, use a clay bar before the polish. I was going to detail my Audi sometime this month, I more than likely will show the before and after pictures.

P.S: The polish is hard to buff, so use a light amount, otherwise your arm will be sore, unless you have a buffer.

EDIT: Hey, you live in Sammish, I live right near you in Bellevue. I have a white EH2 as well, do you have SI wheels, I think I've seen you around...
