Under Dash Fuel Pump Fuse Blown.
Ok so after a month or 2 of driving my 99 civic Ex stick shift, my fuel pump fuse under the dash blew last night, what causes this? How do i check for a short? I did a kill switch on it, and dint really checked what gauge of wire to use. Does it even matter? Does it matter what rate my switch is?
BTW: sometimes it doesnt push gas to the engine when im on 5th gear. Like when driving, and you hold the gas pedal a lil longer in place and when you let it go and push it back in to push gas, it does not work so i have to go down 4th gear, somebody has the same problem but he only goes to neutral and shift back to 5th

Under dash fuse box, fuel pump fuse. Took out the switch and replaced the fuse and it came back working. I dont see anything wrong with the switch 'cause its properly insulated and was less than 5 feet, the only thing im not sure is about the gauge of the wire and the rate of the switch.

Doubtful. Otherwise it would be working. Remove your "kill switch" mod and restore the wiring to stock. If the car operates normally you know it was you that caused the problem.
