UNBELIEVABLE EG SI SELLER.
As some of you know, I am in the market for an EG or EK. found one EG CX.. 3500, but need a bit of body work meaning repainting to make it look nice.
another one is a 92 SI. The seller is waiting for his potential buyer to get a loan and he can only get back to me on saturday!! WTH! I told him I am cash ready t- buy!! but he insists in waiting...

And I think $3500 is too much for a cx, unless the body is FLAWLESS..... and it comes with a hand job.

I guess some people like to stick to their word. If they tell somebody they will wait to see if they can get a loan, then thats what they do. Good for him.
And I think $3500 is too much for a cx, unless the body is FLAWLESS..... and it comes with a hand job.

kinda felt the same about the CX.
On the other hand, the SI has been in some fender bender, according to the seller. He has owned it since day one. but he also has an Alpine Navie I can stick into my pathfinder.

I agree. the only reason for picking an si is for its suspension set up and the 4 wheel disc brakes ..

I am sooooooo tired of all the Si haters out there. If you want a track car get the CX. If this is an every day car get the Si. I love my sunroof, the power mirrors, rear discs, front sway, way nicer interior, etc. I had a VX and sold that turd to get the Si.

The Si would be good if you wanna pimp and cruise but if you wanna compete, drag or autox, the CX would be the better choice. I used to own a 1992 Si till my bro wrecked it, now I own a 1992 CX which I just started autoxing with. I tell you there is a big difference with it than the Si! (weight wise) So whatever you choose is up to you, I just think 3500 for the CX is a bit much. (got mine for 1900, call me lucky)

Little tip: If you plan on swapping any hatch in 1992 has VTEC already wired into the harness, no hassle.

im planning on gettin a heavier car soon

Actually I still own an Si hatchback with a B16A2 swap and it is nice, but the Cx is a lot lighter in all the right places.
All that weight from the moonroof is in the worst place - up top. This adds a lot of body roll, and while some roll is good, the excessive amounts that the moonroof adds is NOT good.
But what do I know, right? I've only had 2 different Si hatches, and 3 different motors, and I had one of the Si hatches since 1997, and still have one of them.
The Si is nice, but that pesky moonroof won't be so "nice" after it begins to rattle

I dont think anyone has been hating on the si. Everyone is just saying, if you are buying a hatchback because of its light weight, dont get an si, because you can get a coupe(and sedan, if I remember right) that is lighter.

If you want "nice" then why not get a 1992 manual LX 4-door with power steering, power windows, cruise control, and power doorlocks.
The LX 4-door weighs LESS than the Si hatchback, and the Si doesn't even have all the "nice" power features either

I guess it truly depends on what you need the car for. I just don't want to spend too much $ in getting brake job, and I can use some of my ITR parts...
